Back in Brissie today – a bit sore (well, honestly, very sore – a bit embarassed to admit that after taking a ride for the last few k’s last night when you guys ploughed on, and then did not have to front again today.)
I am so pleased and grateful for the opportunity to participate. Thanks again, Steve. There is no doubt that the extra involvement increased Steve’s workload and organisational demands enormously. It is yet another way in which Steve’s generosity of spirit shows through.
Looking forward to following the day by day goings on of the group here on the blog.
I wish you all good health during the time that you are involved with the walk – be it a day, several days, or the whole way – and I hope that leg starts to feel better, Steve.
I really had a ball meeting you all. I really enjoyed all of the discussions that I had on the day.
I just wanted to add that in one chat I had (very sorry, cannot remember name) I mentioned some data I thought was from Westpac. Being a researcher, I cannot let things ride, so I needed to check and realised the data was from Australian Property Monitors. But, no problems at all – I sincerely respect the views that were put forward.

Hey J, don’t be one bit embarrassed. Everyone of us has come back with soreness or injury. I’m still stumped how you managed the first 19km run something I’d never even attempt. I’ve dumped my KW images onto the machine & sorting through them. Till then here’s some images I was gas bagging about you might find interesting to looking at:
I had meant to post a supportive comment prior to your departure on the walk/run, but got distracted by other things.
I am no economist, just a GP struggling to persuade my eldest son to avoid placing a very large noose around his neck in the current frenzied climate in Melbourne.
Thank you for bearing the brunt of the current hysteria on behalf of all of us. Having decided to make your walk my “worthy cause” for the year, I hope the donations will help lift your spirits (if not your tired body) to the top of Mount Kosciusko!
What is realy needed is a web sight listing the 800000+ empty residences in Aus (www.squatters.com?) thats besides the thousands of light industry/office complexes that can be residences etc etc. A walk around the block you live in any where & pick the empty houses. This bubble is really to go off with an almighty bang.
